The Illinois Department of Healthcare and Family Services (DHFS) has recently sent a provider notice to dentists enrolled in Medicaid to notify them that their Dental Group has not been revalidated in the Medicaid system.
As Dr. Rebecca Dunn made the final turn onto Boston’s iconic Boylston Street, the only thing she could hear was roaring cheers from thousands of spectators along the route toward the finish line of the Boston Marathon.
The Illinois State Dental Society (ISDS) announces that Eric Larson will conclude his service as Executive Director at the end of September 2026. As we prepare for this transition, we extend our sincere appreciation for his years of dedicated service and the many contributions he has made to the Society and organized dentistry in Illinois.
Update: We have a major advocacy win to share with Illinois dentists. Aetna has confirmed that it will not move forward with its planned changes to payment reimbursement methods for Illinois dentists at this time. This is the outcome ISDS has been working toward.
