Welcome to the G.V. Black District Dental Society!

The G. V. Black District Dental Society is a component (local dental society) of the Illinois State Dental Society and American Dental Association and has been serving the profession of dentistry since 1929.

The Society was named in honor of Dr. Greene Vardiman Black, who was born in 1836 in central Illinois and is known as "one of the founders of modern dentistry". Today, the Society has 155 members who are located in Sangamon, Logan, Menard, Cass, Morgan, Scott and Montgomery counties and a portion of Macoupin County within Illinois. Members includes general practitioners as well as dental specialists.

Medicaid-Dental Group Revalidation Deadline December 31, 2026

The Illinois Department of Healthcare and Family Services (DHFS) has recently sent a provider notice to dentists enrolled in Medicaid to notify them that their Dental Group has not been revalidated in the Medicaid system.

DHFS IMPACT Provider Enrollment Services has opened a temporary revalidation window to allow groups to submit the necessary revalidation application.

Please note that revalidation must be completed before December 31, 2026. Failure to do so will result in claim denials. Once IMPACT staff have reviewed and approved the revalidation, your group's enrollment status will be reactivated.
